The Yadea GT80, a new electric scooter designed for both urban commuting and long-distance travel, appeared at the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026. Its sporty, futuristic styling and robust construction position it as a versatile option for daily riders. The scooter measures 1,966 mm in length, 713 mm in width, and 1,333 mm in height, with sharp LED lighting and a streamlined body enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The grand touring concept is evident in its aerodynamic curves and muscular profile, blending sporty aggression with premium refinement. PT Yadea Indonesia Distributor emphasizes its ability to serve as a daily workhorse while also excelling on long-haul trips.

Four color options, Electric Red, Royal Blue, Solo Gray, and Glossy Black, are available, with pricing starting at Rp29.8 million in Jakarta. Customers can upgrade to a Dual Battery package for an additional Rp6 million, which increases the range by 70 km beyond the standard 120 km. Under WMTC testing, the Dual Battery version delivers 190 km per full charge, sufficient for round trips between Jakarta and Bogor without needing a recharge. The scooter’s design shares visual DNA with the Yamaha XMax but distinguishes itself through its more muscular proportions and premium feature set.

The scooter’s 72V 80Ah Lithium Manganese Oxide (LMO) battery consists of a 72V 50Ah base unit and a 30Ah optional module. A 5 kW (6.7 PS) hub-drive motor powers it, enabling speeds of up to 90 km/h, making it suitable for both city streets and highways. Actual range varies depending on riding conditions, terrain, and traffic patterns. The motor’s average output is 3 kW, providing a balance between acceleration and efficiency for urban and highway use.

Safety features include Traction Control (TCS), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Reverse Mode, Cruise Control, and a Combined Braking System (CBS). Additionally, a Map Mirroring function assists with navigation. Yadea will conduct a long-distance expedition to evaluate battery performance and energy efficiency in real-world scenarios. The scooter’s electronic stability controls and adaptive braking systems reflect its premium positioning in the electric scooter market.
