The Honda Vario Evo 160 arrived in mid-2026 as the second generation of the Vario 160 series, succeeding the version that debuted in 2022. It serves as the flagship model in Honda’s Vario line.
This iteration carries a larger 160cc engine that matches the displacement of the Honda PCX, and it adds modern upgrades such as ABS on the top-tier version, LED lighting, and an idling stop system. The bike also features a Smart Key System and an 18-liter under-seat storage compartment, with seat removal integrated into the ignition process.
Pricing has stayed the same since the June launch, except for a modest Rp100,000 rise over the previous model. Three trims are offered: CBS (Rp28.525 million), CBS Nitro (Rp28.775 million), and ABS (Rp31.406 million). The ABS version adds rear disc brakes, while the other two keep drum brakes at the back.
Dimensions differ only slightly. The CBS version measures 1,929 × 686 × 1,091 mm. The ABS model is 10 mm wider, reaching 696 mm in width. Both share a 1,277 mm wheelbase, 138 mm ground clearance, and a 778 mm seat height. Fuel capacity is 5.5 liter, and dry weight falls between 116 kg and 118 kg.

The powerplant is a 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve liquid-cooled unit equipped with eSP+ technology. It delivers 15.3 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.0 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. According to the Large Project Leader for R&D Southeast Asia, Tawatchai Kasetwetin, a refined ignition timing adjustment raises torque by 0.2 Nm.
Internal tests recorded a 0–200 meter acceleration time of 11.9 seconds and a top speed of 109 km/h. Honda claims the model achieves 46.7 km per liter in fuel consumption.
Suspension consists of telescopic forks up front and a single rear shock. Front tires are sized 100/80-14 and rear tires 120/70-14. Braking varies by trim: the CBS models use hydraulic disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, while the ABS version replaces the rear drum with a disc.
The underbone frame, labeled eSAFB, underpins the bike’s lightweight construction and contributes to its overall handling characteristics.
