Mahindra Vision S Spy Shots Reveal Refined Interior and Exterior Details
New spy photographs of Mahindra’s upcoming compact SUV, derived from the Vision S concept, showcase substantial progress in its development phase. The latest test vehicle exposes significantly more of the production-ready cabin compared to previous prototypes, indicating that Mahindra is advancing toward manufacturing this model.
Despite retaining full-body camouflage, the prototype features completed headlights, grille components, taillights, and a tailgate-mounted spare tire. The presence of a manual transmission and most dashboard elements suggests that Mahindra is actively preparing for production.
Inside, the cabin reveals a prominent horizontal touchscreen positioned high on the dashboard, paired with a separate digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. Below the infotainment system, physical buttons and two rotary climate control knobs are visible, contributing to a straightforward and practical interior design.
The center console houses a manual gear shifter, flanked by additional switches and surrounded by a tall center tunnel. The front seats feature black fabric upholstery with contrasting stitching, while the steering wheel adopts a classic three-spoke design. Overall, Mahindra has chosen a traditional approach for the vehicle’s interior aesthetics.

The dashboard spans most of the cabin width with a dark finish, and the central touchscreen is mounted above the air vents. The test vehicle also displays exposed wiring and temporary development tools, suggesting that final trim specifications may vary before launch.
The front fascia displays a raised bonnet, angular nose, and outer-mounted headlamp units. Vertical grille bars dominate the central section, reinforcing the vehicle’s identity within Mahindra’s SUV lineup. The bumper features a wide lower intake, and the door-mounted mirrors are positioned high on the body structure.
Pronounced wheel arches are visible beneath the camouflage. Built on the NU_IQ modular monocoque platform, the Vision S is anticipated to debut in production form next year. Positioned below the Scorpio N, it may share engine options with the XUV 3XO as part of Mahindra’s expanding SUV portfolio.
The rear showcases an almost vertical tailgate with a centrally mounted full-size spare wheel. Slim vertical taillights are placed near the outer corners, accompanied by a high-mounted brake light above the rear window. The rear bumper features a broad lower section, and the tailgate presents a flat and wide appearance, emphasizing functionality in its design.
