Imagine MKE is devoted to helping artists in our community thrive. In this time of uncertainty, they are urgently addressing the power of artists to outlive in the near time period, and have created the Imagine MKE Artist Relief Fund. We are proud to assist this important initiative that aligns with our mission. It was a mission Mr. Sargent happened to share with the cultural polymath Virgil Abloh, each bent on conveying a dedication and sense of community to artists of each stripe — painters, architects, sculptors, musicians and fashion designers. Of course there are those that try to break out of this hegemony, for example by refusing to play by the art world’s unwritten guidelines.
